FAQ P-LIGHT Electronics

IMPORTANT – Coupling of P-LIGHT electronic box MAXI/MAXI XL/MAGNUM/HYDRO COMP/HYDRO-MAGNUM FRAME

Always use RKKB cable for p-light connection.

P-LIGHT goes out after just a few seconds.

If the lighting only lights up for a few seconds when p-light, disconnect the cabling on terminals 4 and 6 and turn on again, if the lighting is on, measure between terminal 3 (- Ground) and the wiring that has been sitting on terminals 4 / 6. If voltage is present, there is any connection between incoming and lighting circuits that must be separated.

NOTE – especially important for headlined articles as above:

In order to ensure full charge and function, the leaders shall between the trailer/trailer's clutch glove (to truck) and P-LIGHT plint 3, 4 & 6 be my 2.5 mm².

At the event of weak cabling/weak leader, there may be a risk of insufficient recharge ability of the batteries.

Leaders of other connection are dimensioned for the consumption that is connected.

What is the annual maintenance you need to do?

Make sure that bolt dressings, box, push buttons, curling seal, battery attachment, etc. are not damaged or have come loose.
Make sure that wires, contacts, battery poles, etc. are not damaged or oxidized, etc.
To prevent corrosion, cable shoes, contacts, battery poles, etc. are lubricated with contact fat, white Vaseline el dyl.
Check the capacity of the batteries through load tests with intended test equipment. Recommentable is also to start P-LIGHT® and let the lighting/option be lit until the electronics itself turn off P-LIGHT®. In this way, control can be done to P-LIGHT® have sufficient battery capacity for the intended needs (+ margin).
Important! Since the batteries lose capacity over time (like all rechargeable batteries), you have to perform battery tests so you know when it's time to switch. If you care about it, it can result in P-LIGHT® may not be able to shine the time you would expect when you set the trailer/trailer at a short-term parking lot. I'm changing your batteries on time!

Test in the event of problems

If there was any problem with your P-LIGHTS feature always start by doing a first functional test using it in your P-LIGHT box attached to the Test program, the small Support Appendix, a more thorough explanation for ev. error codes can be found on page 1 to m 5 and also an electricity schedule on page 6 of Bruks and Installation Instructions. You can also find this information on our support website.
The most common problems are:

Lighting goes out after a short time – see section "Battery issues"

The lights on the trailer light up as soon as I relax the trailer – how do I turn them off?

Programmable ignition

Option 1

Midi: Swap between the plinths 23 and 24 for at least 20 sec.

Maxi, Maxi XL, Magnum, Magnum Frame and Hydro:

Keep pushbutton 2 (Option) pressed for at least 20 seconds.
Then a message appears on the display, if you want to change, repeat the procedure again.
AUT ON = ALWAYS turns on P-LIGHT® outputs 5 & 7 when the vehicle is switched off or disconnected.
AUT OFF = NEVER turns on P-LIGHT® outputs 5 & 7 when the vehicle is switched off or disconnected (Factory setting on delivery)

Half or part of the trailer's lighting went out when the P-LIGHT was plugged in, no fuse has broken?

Make sure that there is no power source parallelly connected between P-LIGHTENS plint 4 and 6 which can cause back current.
Make sure the grounding is adequate.
Make sure there are no gaping contacts.
Make sure all light bulbs are flawless on the trailer.

The automatic fuse loosely/redeems, where and what could the error be?

Errors are indicated by the text "ERR" and "Fx", where x consists of a figure or letter C (t.e.x F1) see attached symbol key to the F codes, switches in the display. This finds the fuse that is loose and to which coupling terminal it belongs.

NOTE: Automatic fuse problems are usually not caused by any problem or failure of p-lighten, but the fault is usually found in the connected equipment where the most common fault is short circuit in this, e.g. a lamp.

NOTE: If an automatic fuse is dissolved, the voltage must be disconnected for about 15-60 sec for the fuse to restore, this is done after errors have been corrected (such as the replacement of a faulty bulb).
